    Pre-Sales Consultant

    Our client is one of the World’s fastest growing software Companies with offices in the UK, throughout Europe, the US, in the UAE and SE Asia. They operate within highly regulated industries such as aviation, financial services, life sciences, healthcare, and manufacturing.


    They have grown rapidly over the last 10 years acquiring approximately 25 companies. Doubling in size every 3 years, they are on course to a Mkt Cap of £1billion.


    Over 6,000 organisations use their products including all of the top aerospace and defence companies, 75% of the world’s leading Pharma firms and seven of the top 10 accounting firms.


    The Role

    The role of the Pre-Sales Consultant is to support the Sales Team as their Technical Expert ensuring the solutions being offered can be tailored to meet the customers’ requirements and expectations. The core functions are listed below.


    Thorough product and domain knowledge are required to present solutions that highlight the product’s features and benefits by understanding of the customer pain points and desired outcomes.

    As a Pre-Sales Consultant, to succeed you must:

    • Have an in-depth knowledge of the products relevant to the sector and domain
    • Be able to demonstrate the product(s) to the level of a technical expert
    • Work at becoming a domain expert and learn competitive advantage
    • Possess the ability to make great decisions under pressure and be flexible in a changing work environment.
    • Be able to think rapidly in front of clients and communicate responses effectively
    • Be organized and able to work independently
    • Collaborate and share ideas and techniques with colleagues
    • Always represent the company in a professional and positive manner


    Support the Sales consultants and Managers in:

    • Product demonstrations
    • Scoping and managing Technical Discovery Workshops
    • Qualification of opportunities
    • Bid responses (contributing and reviewing)
    • Creating Business Cases and Value Propositions


    Collaborate with Internal Stakeholders by:

    • Contributing to Product Lifecycle meetings by feeding back comments and ideas that may enhance the Product(s)
    • Providing Case Studies and Customer references to Product Marketing


    Other duties may include:

    • Training colleagues, both in product(s) and domain(s)
    • Attending User Conferences
    • Attending industry events or trade shows


    Desired Skills and Experience:


    • Ideally 3+ years software pre-sales, sales or service delivery experience
    • Experience of working in an Internal Audit or Risk Management environment
    • Organistation and Time Management skills
    • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
    • Have excellent verbal, written and interpersonal skills and an attention to detail
    • Be innovative and collaborative


    The ideal candidate must have excellent written, verbal and presentation skills and the ability to articulate technical solutions in a concise and polished manner to a diverse audience and must be comfortable and effective when talking with a broad range of decision influencers and decision makers within an organization.
