    HR Business Partner

    With their People strategy in place for 2022 they are really driven to make a difference to business performance and have created this fantastic opportunity for a people driven HR Business Partner to join their dynamic team where you will work closely with their business leaders and line managers to build their people capability, plan and manage talent and develop approaches that achieve shared organisational objectives.

    The role

    Reporting to and working closely with their HR Director you will provide confidential, efficient and proactive advisory support and coaching to all concerned, to facilitate the delivery of a comprehensive HR service, Company policy and best practice.  You will influence business performance by helping to create a high-performance culture and will drive continuous improvement. You will establish a regular HR presence at each of their sites, providing support to their employees.

    Key Result Areas / Accountabilities

    • Act as a trusted advisor to their respective Executive members, working closely with, listening to and understanding the people needs and priorities of their business areas, providing a proactive and aligned HR support service.
    • Be the principal HR point of contact for their business areas, providing astute and pragmatic advice to managers regarding all relevant HR areas, including recruitment, induction, probationary periods/reviews, performance management, long-term absence management, capability, family friendly leave processes, flexible working requests, employee data, learning and development, disciplinary matters, grievances and exit processes in accordance with Company policy and current legislation.
    • Coach and upskill line managers in all areas of HR including performance management, absence management and employee relations issues. Building their competence and confidence to enable them to effectively lead their teams.
    • Support the wider HR team on operational matters including on-boarding new starters, undertaking exit interviews and providing holiday cover as required.
    • Champion their values and culture, be a role model for these and support the continual embedding of them in everything they do.
    • Participate fully in personal training and development opportunities
    • Full driving licence and the ability to travel to other sites regularly

    Key Knowledge and skills

    • Ideally CIPD level 7 qualification (or equivalent qualification) or equivalent professional experience
    • Demonstrable record of wide-ranging operational HR experience in a business partnering role.
    • Knowledge and understanding of current and forthcoming UK employment and data protection law and their application.
    • Stakeholder management and relationship skills, with the ability to inspire confidence in the management and leadership team, and key stakeholders both within and outside of HR.
    • Flexible and professional approach
    • Numerically literate, comfortable interpreting data
    • Proficient MS Office skills, including Outlook, Word and Excel
    • You are always curious about how things can be done quicker, faster, or less expensively and you find ways to apply this to add value to our customers, our profitability and the happiness of our people.
    • You embed change and it becomes the “way we do things around here” in a positive way
    • Full driving licence and the ability to travel to other sites regularly
