My career within the HR arena has spanned 20 years, the last six years as a Main Board member of a SME. Unusually my career path has taken me to operate on the commercial side of business delivering sales and projects to large customers with high demands. This is quite unique for a HR professional and gives me a totally different perspective of the way in which businesses can build future success and better customer experience through their people, adding value and gaining competitive advantage, without losing sight of the commercial reality of the day to day operation.
In an increasingly competitive market, I have a real desire to make a difference to how organisations can maximise the potential of their people and drive success. With experience of having to respond to the end customer demands I can quickly identify the people challenges and opportunities and have the skills to put strategy into action.
Based in East Anglia, with my family, who keep me very busy, I also enjoy keeping fit by running (and have completed the London Marathon twice). I am also on the Governing Body of my local village school, serving as Chair of Governors for a number of years.
